¶ Bug Reporting
Bug Reports can fall under anything that seems out of the ordinary for the server. Glitches, bugs, lag are all things you can report on. We ask that you only make one report for each problem you see occur.
In order to submit a bug report, you will need to head over to our Discord: https://craftbit.net/discord
Assuming you have already linked your MC account and can access the discord channel. Head over to ✅| Reports and click Report issue/bug at the bottom
After doing so, you should see a prompt with fields to fill out.
Hyperlinks do work when pasting them into the textboxes when creating the bug report. However, you are unable to copy+paste images. We recommend that after the ticket opens, you can paste your images there as the normal chat will allow you do so.
¶ What Should I include in my Report?
When you report a bug or issue please make sure to include as much information as you can. If possible include the following information:
- The server where the bug or issue occurred on
- An explanation about how to recreate the issue (step by step)
- Screenshots or video evidence that shows the issue
- Other information that is related to the bug or issue
We do prefer that you make a screen recording when explaining the issue. If possible, the video should include the moment you log onto the server, up to when the bug occurs. If it ends up being a very long video, you can cut to when the bug occurs. A visualization is best for us so we can easily recreate the steps when checking the problem ourselves. It is okay if you are uncomfortable or unable to make a recording, we just ask you provide much detail when explaining the steps.
Do understand that dealing with these bug reports can take time. As there are only a few select staff that can do anything about it. So please be patient about it and refrain from DM'ing staff. If it's been more than a week with no reply, then you are welcome to ask about it.
